Closing the Gap for Our Kids
While parents may hold different opinions about standardized testing and the role of it in the education of children with special needs, its benefits include an increased focus on accountability and a window into achievement gaps. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE) and its Office of Special Education are working to close achievement gaps for our children and prepare them for a range of college and career options.
